The Foundation facilitated Santa Fe College’s first computer-generated scholarship application for the 2009-2010 award process.  In March 2009, the scholarship committee awarded 336 scholarships with a total value of $562,800.  The first Scholarship Handbook, which took the place of approximately 60 various brochures, was distributed to area high schools in December 2007.  Since the introduction of the handbook and the implementation of the online process, applications for the 2009-2010 academic year increased by 56 percent over the 2008-2009 year. 
The Foundation has determined that raising funds for scholarships will be the top priority for the next three years.
